1. What is the age requirement for enrolling in your kindergarten program?
Children must be 5 years old by August 30, 2024.
2. What are the school hours?
Our school operates from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, Monday through Friday. We also offer before-care starting at 6:30 AM and after-care until 4:30 PM for an additional fee.
3. What is your teacher-to-student ratio?
We maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio of 1:12 to ensure personalized attention and a supportive learning environment.
4. What curriculum do you follow?
Our curriculum is a blend of Keeping My Kiddos Busy, LLC, and traditional teaching methods. We focus on developing literacy, numeracy, social skills, and creativity through a hands-on, play-based approach.
5. Are meals and snacks provided?
Yes, we provide healthy, balanced meals and snacks. We accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. Our menu is designed to meet the nutritional needs of young children.
6. How do you handle allergies and medical conditions?
We have strict protocols in place for managing allergies and medical conditions. Our staff is trained in first aid and CPR. We work closely with parents to create individual care plans for children with specific needs.
7. What safety measures are in place?
The safety of our students is our top priority. Our campus is secured with controlled access, and we conduct regular safety drills. All staff members undergo background checks and receive training in emergency response.
8. How do you communicate with parents?
We believe in open and regular communication. We use a parent-teacher communication app, ClassDojo for updates, newsletters, and reminders. Parent-teacher conferences are held twice a year, and teachers are always available for meetings upon request.

Our approach to discipline is based on positive reinforcement and teaching children self-regulation skills. We use techniques such as redirection, time-ins, and conflict resolution to guide behavior. Our goal is to create a respectful and nurturing environment.
10. What is the process for enrollment?
Enrollment begins with a tour of our school. Interested families can then submit an application form. We conduct assessments and interviews to ensure our program is a good fit for your child. Once accepted, the family will receive an email confirming enrollment and welcoming them to Jumpstart Prep!
11. How do you handle transitions to elementary school?
We prepare children for a smooth transition to elementary school by focusing on readiness skills throughout the year. We also hold meetings with parents to discuss progress and provide guidance on the next steps in their educational journey.
12. Can parents volunteer at the school?

13. Are uniforms required?
Yes, but only Monday through Friday.
Monday-Thursday Dress Code:
- Tops: Red or white polo shirts
- Bottoms: Dress pants, skirts, or jumpers in khaki
- Hosiery: Tights or socks
- Footwear: Closed-toe shoes in black or navy blue
Friday Dress Code:
- Dress Down Day: Students may wear Jumpstart T-shirts or casual attire/everyday clothes.
- Outerwear: Sweaters, hoodies, or long-sleeve undershirts (students may keep them on in the classroom) in red or white.
