Wanda's "Little Hands" established a Parent, Teacher, Community Association (PTCA). We encourage parents to take an active role and include themselves in the fundraisers, parent/child outings, programs, and parents' night out. Come and be our guest any day for lunch, accompany your child on a field trip, or visit your child's classroom to make his or her day extra-special. If you have a special talent, art project, or cultural experience you would like to share with the children, please let us know. Our students love to have parent interaction in their classrooms. Your input, observations, and participation will only strengthen and enrich our program.
Dads only events
Wanda's Little Hands has adopted a new approach to encourage dads to be more involved in their children's educational experiences. Once a month throughout the school year there will be events planned for dads ONLY. These events will strengthen relationships between dads and children and also educate dads on how to stay involved. If for some reason a child does not have a father in their life, they will be able to bring a grandpa, uncle, brother or cousin as long as it is a male representation from their family. There will be a calendar given out at the beginning of the school year with all 'Dad's Only" events incorporated.
